Charles Perrault
Charles Perrault was a 17th century French author who is considered to be one of the first writers in the fairy tale genre and was the author of The Tales of Mother Goose. He was a member of the prestigious literary body L'Academie Francaise, and created his stories from folk tales that existed at the time.
