Though she is the author/artist for more than 6 books and numerous fine art exhibits she is still very carefully supervised in her art studio by a miniature longhaired dachshund and a tabby cat. About the Author:

Stacie Schimke is inspired by design: graphic, architectural, object, interior, and the combinaton of color and texture. Her eye is drawn to the details, the spiderweb in the corner of a door, the numbers on the face of an old pocketwatch. Photography and painting are the devices with which she displays her design sense. Recently, she has begun writing and designing children’s books. Finnbar and the Firefly is the first in a series of Finnbar adventures.
